Shipping policy
SHIPPING
We ship across Canada through Purolator. Oversized items are ineligible for shipping and these include: kayaks, canoes, stand up paddle board, pedal boards, pedal kayaks, water parks and pedal boats.
Orders for in-stock items (not pre-orders) are typically dispatched within 2 business days and the shipping time is dependent on your selection at checkout. A tracking number will be sent to you upon order fulfillment and you can contact the carrier directly or our team at orders@cottagetoys.com if you have any questions or concerns about your shipment.
DELIVERY
We offer delivery within 500km of our Lakefield store for $10 + $1.50/km. We can sometimes accommodate further deliveries, so please do not hesitate to reach out to us at orders@cottagetoys.com and we'll try our best to accommodate!
When checking out, you'll be able to select your preferred delivery date, and we'll try to plan our route as close to that day as possible. Someone will need to be home to accept the delivery and we can provide ETAs on the day of when requested.
The delivery rate will be automatically calculated at checkout from our Lakefield store to the address entered at the rate of $10 + $1.50 per km. If you believe the rate is not calculating properly based on your location, reach out to us at orders@cottagetoys.com and we'll be happy to double check and send a custom cart link with the correct delivery rate.
PICKUP
Pickup is available at our Lakefield store. Pickup is free of charge and we are open for pickup Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.Â
When you checkout for pickup, you will be asked to select a pickup date. This really helps our team be organized during the busy summer season and ensures that your pickup will be a speedy one. If you don't know exactly which day you'll be picking up - don't worry. Select an approximate date and reach out to us at orders@cottagetoys.com when you know what day you'd like to pick up. We can accommodate drop-in pickups usually, but we greatly appreciate a heads up so we can have your order ready for you!
You need a code for pickup. Our new pickup system is easy and secure. You'll receive a 'Ready for Pickup' email when we pack your order that contains a unique pickup code. When you arrive for pickup, we'll ask for your Order # and Name to pull up the order, then we'll ask for the Pickup Code to verify that you are the person who placed the order, or you were authorized to do so. This allows you to send someone else to pickup your order in a secure way.
